We’re proud to announce that we are back with the Hero 911 Version 2.0. Unlike the last Porsche, this Hero 911 was designed to recognize all of our first responders as we like to say “emerging together”. The brave men and women unite to serve the public and they deserve a standing ovation. We would like to recognize our local first responders as Ventura County Sheriff’s Dept., Ventura County Fire, AMR/Gold Coast, and EMS. The new Hero 911 will be displayed at local events and businesses starting with the Hero 911 Tribute Rally on August 7, 2022.
The Hero 911 Tribute Rally is a car rally dedicated to the daily bravery of all first responders who selflessly put themselves in harm’s way to help others – law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, emergency management, and search & rescue. Participate in the car rally alongside emergency vehicles, led by Rusnak/Westlake Porsche’s specially wrapped 2022 Porsche 911.
The car rally will begin in Westlake Village at 9:00 AM, and end at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley at 11:00 AM with the event concluding at 1:00 PM. Tickets include entry to the special event at Hummingbird Nest Ranch, a gourmet meal, t-shirt, and swag bag. Proceeds from the event will benefit the all-volunteer Ventura County Sheriff’s East County Search and Rescue Team and the Ventura County Fire Department’s Widows & Orphans Fund.

History
Sergeant Ron Helus was killed during the mass shooting at the Borderline Bar & Grill when he and another officer were the first law enforcement officials to arrive on scene responding to an active shooter call. Sgt. Helus died a hero protecting his community. He served the department for 29 years and was looking to retire in the next year or so. He is remembered by his wife and son.
For the 1st Annual Hero 911 Tribute Rally, Rusnak/Westlake Porsche commissioned a tribute vinyl wrap from Ghost Shield Film located in Thousand Oaks, CA. Ghost Shield Film wrapped a black 2020 Porsche 911 in honor of Sgt. Ron Helus and his heroic actions. The car wrap mirrors a Ventura County Sheriff patrol car with Sgt. Ron Helus’s name on the driver’s side. The vehicle was placed and displayed at various community events and at Ventura County Sheriff’s Foundation fundraising events in Ron’s honor.
